About ITM, Mussoorie

JRF Fellowship Details

• Type of Fellowship: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
• Number of Positions: 02 (Two)
• Monthly Stipend: ₹37,000/-
• Tenure: Initially for 2 years, extendable up to a maximum of 5 years based on performance.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet one of the following qualifications:

1. Postgraduate degree in Science (First Division) with NET qualification.
2. Graduate degree in Engineering (B.E/B.Tech) in First Division with a valid GATE score.
3. Postgraduate degree in Engineering (M.E/M.Tech) in First Division at both graduate and postgraduate levels.

Age Limit & Relaxation

• Maximum Age: 28 years as of the interview date.
• Relaxation:
  • SC/ST candidates: 5 years
  • OBC candidates: 3 years
  • Other relaxations as per government policy.

Application Process

1. Download the Application Form from the official DRDO website (www.drdo.gov.in).
2. Submit the filled form via email to director.itm@gov.in in PDF format.
3. Bring a hard copy of the filled form along with:
   • A recent passport-size photograph (affixed on the form).
   • Self-attested copies of all educational certificates, mark sheets, and experience certificates.
   • Extra passport-size photograph for records.

Important Notes

• Candidates must have their degree or provisional certificate at the time of application.
• Incomplete applications will be rejected.
• No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview or joining if selected.
• Selection as JRF does not guarantee absorption into DRDO.
• Ph.D. Registration: Selected candidates may get an opportunity to register for Ph.D. during their fellowship.

• Nearest Railway Station: Dehradun.
• Nearest Bus Stop/Public Transport: Picture Palace/Masonic Lodge (4 km away).

Additional Guidelines

• No electronic devices (mobile phones, pen drives, laptops, CDs, etc.) are allowed inside ITM campus.
• If a large number of candidates appear for the interview, it may continue on the next day.
• Candidates currently employed in Government/PSUs/Autonomous bodies must produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of the interview.
• Background verification will be conducted before joining.
